It's good to know about especially good foods but we also need to avoid getting too obsessed with foods in place of diet.

We constantly hear about so-called "superfoods", a trend that contributes to marketing scams like with the acai berry.

A good example is seen with hypertension. You can read about all sorts of foods that are supposed to lower blood pressure such as celery root, beetroot and apple cider vinegar. Yet none of these remedies really work to

Instead of special foods it's the right diet that can help stop hypertension. A balanced and varied diet high in whole, natural foods is the best way to keep blood pressure down.

Diet is far more important than foods in the sense that with a balanced and varied diet you get all the foods you need along with all the benefits.
