I understand your point, but nowhere in that article did it mention physiologists.
P*SS ON the APA & their Clan, I have known 3 physiologists a lfe time, all 3 are screwed up, I.E. muli marrages, chidren, suicidal, on drugs or bums.& they are judging some one else?
In my opinion, the psychologists should not be involved with the detainees. I'm not a doctor and my experience has been limited to counseling during a family crisis but unless you can speak and understand their language, and are well versed in their culture, I don't see how they (the Dr's.) would be of any value anyhow.
I'm sure it is all about covering their backs legally speaking. It's not about what the shrinks bring to the party, it's about covering the US Government against allegations of abuse by being able to say a trained professional was in the room.

That MAY be because you are not a Doctor, as you yourself said. Ya think?
Come on in, lay on my couch and I will make you a better man. Just look at the watch as it goes by and remember you are a free man, do what you want to do and we will reward you with 70 virgins. After the count of 10 you can wake up and I will not be here, because I don't know who I am. I am a robot doing what the APA is demanding what I do, not what is needed....

So because you have known 3 individual psychologists who had some of the same personal problems that permeate this society, that makes all psychologists bad?
This is a logical fallacy of generalization known as composition: where one infers that something is true of the whole from the fact that it is true of some (or even every) part of the whole.

Psychologists aren't even doctors. You see, the American Psychiatric Association (Psychiatrists are the MDs) banned its members from helping interrogate detainees at Gitmo in 2006 because it violates medical ethics. The American Medical Association did the same. The American Psychological Association, since they aren't doctors, didn't have that problem. But apparently enough psychologists found it objectionable that they decided to ban it.
I think they all have candied asses and obviously have no family that has been killed by an islamic extremist. Water board em' poke out their eyezes...whatever it takes to get to the point. Let the military and spooks do what they do best and it will be over alot sooner!!! HOOAH!!
