It is good that these aircraft could be recovered. Excellent real world training for the recovery teams and the aircraft and its components may provide information as to why the crash occurred and the one pilot lost his life.

This was not excellent real world "training" for the recovery teams, it was an excellent real world recovery. Saying that it was excellent training is like saying, getting into a firefight in Basra is excellent real world training for combat troops.

our ability to perform this type of recovery, and the information that is possible to retrieve form the planes will no doubt save us millions of dollars and the lives of those folks that fly them..Thanks to those who have fought so hard to retain this capability and for the teams of experts that performed the recovery.

I'm glad they found the wreckage to see what happened. One of my co-workers knew the deceased pilot...it's important to get the lessons of incidents like this right so that all pilots can learn from them.
