I'm very proud of this young woman, not only for her courage as an individual, but for the way she and her sisters in combat (helicopter pilots, combat medics, military police, and transportation specialists) have demonstrated that women are as capable of courage, coolness under fire, and selfless devotion to their duties as men.

Right on, sister! Applause Applause Applause

In that this is SPC Brown’s third thread and I have commended her on each thread, I will take note that you are showing you age by calling her a SP4. Now if you were am “old soldier” you may have call a SP3 - that was back in my days. And if you were a “really old soldier” you may have called her a T4 -like back in my big brother’s days.

But no matter what, we are all proud to have this brave young lady serving in today’s army.

At least that’s the way, IMN2BHO, this old soldier and proud Coast Guard dad sees it!

A listening ear, a caring heart, an open mind and an extend hand may be all I can offer, but they are yours without charge or judgment.

I have served with many medics and from what i read here she is definitely a hero in my eyes. Women in combat roles these days does show they are more than capable to handle themselves very well. Spc Brown, I salute you for your outstanding actions under extreme situations. Congrats to you for recieving the Silver Star!

Local radio station (WFLA-970 - Tampa) reported that she will not be allowed back in a comback situation becaus of the female-non combat rule. Has any one else heard that?
