I agree. Reading stories like this really humbles you. It also amazes me the advances they have made in prosthetics. Just a few short years ago, he would have been medically retired. Now, he is able to have a military career despite his disabilities.
I remember when my wife proudly pinned on my LTJG bars more than 20 years ago, but that was nothing compared to the awe in which we stand when we see this young lieutenant who has sacrificed so much and keeps on sacrificing for his country.
