I think it is a cool truck but the price tag needs to be shaved down sum!!! Pun intended on that.... sounds to me like price gouging to me..... There is no reason at all for it to cost that much money... IMO, the Government should go in to that company and perform an imminant domain on it for the welfare of the trops and take control of operations and bust out the trucks at cost aistead of the perported what was it $330mil, and dont fool yourselves boys and girls they can do it and if they really wanted to they would. It was done back in WW1 and WW2.

If I read the story right, the contract is $490 million for 1000 first generation vehicles. That puts them around half a mil each. An up armored HMMV is around $150000 .
With what we have already spent on this war and the lives it has cost us, I want my USMC Son to be as safe as possible so the cost doesn't matter when his life is at stake.......
It's about time to offer our troops some protection. Obviously they need these, they should have had these when the first IED went off. What's taken so long? As far as the rediculous price tag goes what do they care? It's just tax payer's money and i'm sure the owners of the company are going to give huge donations to the DNC and RNC as payback. God forbid they don't pay $500 for a hammer. That would mean the government would be good stewards of our money and taking care of our troops.
