Hit the gas station and commissary store on base (Pendleton) on the way home.Never thought a thing about it. Whether or not we commuted in civvies depended mostly on the vagaries of the base laundry, sometimes you changed duds, dropped off a load and hauled the clean stuff home. My wife couldn't iron for squat.
