If you take your life at once aside

Then remove yourself from the cast

You will find the ship of fools steams on- regardless......

Leaving you free to sail on past.

I wish the American press would print the good news.

Can you imagine that? The infantry actually walked cross-country instead of using roads! And helicopters were used for an aerial assault! The Army's gone retro!

Sounds like somebody rediscovered what air-mobile infantry are for, and how to use them in a counter-insurgency operation. Excellent job!

Its too bad we do not have more reporters who tell it like it is. All we hear is the bad reports out of the AP, who keeps a running tally of our deaths. I wonder if they keep a running tally of enemy deaths, not.

Tried and true methods still work, go figure.

Outstanding operation. Goes to show what our people are made of. I'm sure this got more than a troubled stir from the defeatists on the Home Front.

God bless our warriors and those who support them.

PR still in charge?
When you get something that works, repeat it - don't advertise it.

"It's all over" is better news than 'we got some'.

-Analyst Barry Watts from the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessment calls the parachute mission "a leftover consequence of the glories of the 82nd and 101st [airborne divisions] in 1944," the year paratroopers dropped en masse into Nazi-occupied France.-

Barry Watts can suck a fat cawk for all I care!
I'm second generation Airborne Veteran and I'll say this...
He needs to be punched in a loud and boisterious Airborne fashion, then tossed out as a wind dummy.

A leftover consequence...fawk you Barry...
I can't stand these liberal analysts shooting their mouths off about how the 82d and 101st are "dinosaurs" of the modern military machine.

The 82d and 101st are filled with honor!

That statement was a complete slap in every man and woman's face to ever hit the silk.

Kick *** job to my brothers in the double A's carrying on the torch. Whomp their *** and we'll see you home soon. Cold beer and Black Angus steaks for all!

Oh, and hot chicks for the gents and studs for the lasses! They've earned it!

The redeployment f***, best thing ever!

That's what I mean, get in, do the job, get out. What is the old saying from days gone by, Kick-*** and take names. Go Airborne! This is what it is going to take to get out of the Middle East. I am in favor of troop withdrawal, but ONLY AFTER THE JOB IS DONE! And, we can do it. Like the old Nike ad - Just Do It!

I HAve said it time and time again that the troops in iraq are being led by incompetent leaders. why would you announce a sucessful operation to the enemy? Warfare requires well thought out strategy that is only known to those that will carry it out. The enemy now knows and will change their way of doing business in the future,I pity our Troops who must follow the Leads of Derilects who does not have a "Clue" on how to execute battle plans.

It shows the professionalism and mission the Army is trained to perform.

Waiting for a car bomber to show up and then reacting is not the best use of our military.

Offensive, not defensive.
