In my humble opinion, more could be done for the retired veterans. It seems as if you are blessed enough to retire, you get treated as if you have nothing to do except attend post retiree days and talk with the younger sets of soldiers about the "bad old days". That is not the case, we have to work to pay bills just like everyone else. We could start by giving every veteran a fair chance at that veterans upward bound program, which is only offered in states that have the program. If your state does not have this program you are not allowed to participate in it, this is straight up WRONG!
