I was with the Air Force for 3 1/2 years got out early and joined up again as an Air Guard doing my two weeks training. After a year they asked if I'd like to go AGR Active Guard Res. I served faithfully from 81 to 86 when I resigned due to a knee injury that made me unfit at the time for Active service. I have a ten percent dis. I've was told nothing about the GI bill after I left the AGR program. I was aware of the GI bill for Active members but waited to long to finish my time. But as for AGR I wsn't told anything about time or funds. And also I would like to find out now that I'm Civil Service was does my 6 years Active Reserves count toward? That's 9 1/2 years I should be getting credit for or paying back for time as I am for my 3 1/2 years. Do I get any time or credit for Time served, as an "Active Green card" could have been called to war at any time, I could use the Commisary, the BX, Hops or what ever the Active Regulars could do. "Not a Pink card as the Air Guard" did they had to be there so many times to use the facilites. I was told "is not" convertible under the USMC guidlines for Civilian FERS retirement, but other Branches are. Is this true? Or do I have to change to another Branch? AF, Navy, Army to get credit for time served? Was this a work of Futility or waste of six years that I'll never see.
I HAVE SERVED IN ARMY GAURD FROM JULY 86 TO DEC 99 AND I WAS REJECTED TO RECEIVE GI BILL BENIFITES SO I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT GIVING SO MUCH IN THE SERVICE ONLY TO BE SLAPPED IN THE FACE .

Why are you replying to 1 year old posting?
You had from July 86 to Dec 99 - that's 13 years to use MGIB-SR while you were in Army National Guard. Bet lots of people in your unit with you were using their MGIB-SR benefits.
