I am looking into creating a new report (requested by you the user) to help units determine Chafe wear. Hopefully this report would help with servicing your Aids.

I am not sure what values I should use in the formula and I am looking for your thoughts. Here are some of the questions I am trying to figure out.

If you start with the original size of Chafe and subtract the latest measurement that would give you a value for Chafe Wear in x months.

Example. 1 inch (32/32) Chafe new in Nov 2006 measure 3/4 (24/32) inch in Nov 2007. The Chafe Wear would be 1/4 (8/32) in 12 months.

How would you handle the formula if you had more than one measurement?
Could you assume the same rate of wear every x months?
Does chain wear differently at different times of the year?
If you flip the Chain (end for end) you probably are measuring at a different spot. Should it matter?

Probably have more questions that I have not though about.

I am looking for your operational feedback please help. I am in the GAL if you want to call or send me an e-mail or reply. Thank you
