Monday January 28th at 11:00 am Blackthorn Park (I275 N at the Sunshine Skyway Bridge) for the annual ceremony.

I remember the dedication ceremony back in 89 or 90. I was standing watch over the Bible in my Bravos for an hour or two. Hot day.

I was stationed with a CWO who is about to retire this summer. He was a SN and got off the ship I think six months before the collosion. He knew 21 of the 23 who passed. The CWO is the last crew member I think still on active duty. I was a little puzzled why they didn't invite or have him speak at the ceremony though? Hopefully I will be there next year to pay respects.
