Master Chief Bob Hunsaker, USCG (ret) crossed the bar on 1 February, in Arab, Alabama. He is survived by his wife, Christine, and his children, Jason, Dan, and Julie.

Master Chief Hunsaker was OIC of SUMAC when I was CO of Group Upper. He was a trusted source of advice and experience and I held him in high regard. He was an old-fashioned boatswain's mate, with the temper to match, and could the turn the air all sorts of colors when provoked. He also loved his crew and fought hard to take good care of them. For his sake, I hope there is ATON in heaven.
