I am conducting research on the abandoned Coast Guard LORAN station on Folly Beach, South Carolina. I have posted a few items on some other websites seeking information, but have not really ever gotten anything. I would love to talk to people who were stationed there, who could provide me with information and/or photos.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Richard

All I know is the LORSTA was heavily damaged by Hurricane Hugo, I think it was 1989. I think the tower came down but I'm not sure. I wasn't stationed there, I was at D7 at the time. USCG had some mobile homes as recreation cottages that got blown around pretty good.
