Wondering if anyone has an easier way to find the nsn, source of supply and est cost for the flags required on an 87 pb. Contacted DLA and they are researching the nsn's, but today CO said we need them on a surf sheet tommorow. Kinda stuck, since dod emall and gsa does not carry this stuff, only the national ensign and pow mia. I need to purchase the full rainbow of colors and union jack. Have the CG ensign nsn, but all other flags nsn's are faded off.
Give PRO Lockport a call. They are located at Bollinger Shipyards where the 87's are built. Tell them you need an outfit list for an 87 WPB. All of your flags will be listed on it with the NSN. They should be able to fax one to you right away. You can then put them on a surf sheet and order away. I had to replace all of the flags on my first 87 and that is how I was able to obtain the complete list with stock numbers. I will tell you, they are not cheap. I remember it being well over $2,000 when I ordered them and this was probably about 4 years ago. Good luck.
Check NTP 13 for the exact Rainbow and make calls to other PB's do the work yourself and you will be rewarded in the end or call Pro Lockport,La. Procede with caution. Bm3/2/3 Albo
albo, ntp 13 list all the flags for the rainbow, not the nsn. I tried a little networking with other 87's, but the cutters i contacted nsn's are faded off. As far as proceding with caution with pro lockport, any heads up i should know about? thank you for your reply.
10784642----If you check the manual for the Rainbow of Colors NTP 13, you should be able to figure out how many flags and pennants and subs you need ...then use that to get the NSN on your own with the Stock System or just go to West Marine...Pro Lockport can be reliable at times as long as they are not too busy.Knowledge is best attained when you gain it for yourself,a little digging in the manuals never hurt anyone...But also check again in NTP 13 ch 7 page 7-1 paragraph 705 thru 706 check the NAVSEA drawing numbers 53711 804 5184208, MAYBE THIS COULD HELP!http://engineers.ihs.com/products/procurement/haystack-logistics/haystack_lp.htm?ocid=haystack_lp try and lookup the stock numbers this way its worked for me before, anyway hope that it helps.
