"The List" is BS! What happened to needs of the member? Oh thats right, we are all robots and this is all about the needs of the CG, or is it? I have been checking on the peps who got the jobs I put in for (21 of them) and what, squat thats what. Maybe it's be cause the person dealing out the jobs could give a care less. Naw, that couldnt be it? The past 3 transfers I have been Pri 2, 1, 3 and didnt get any of my top 7's (11, 9, 8). This year I'm a priority 5 and didnt get anything on my E-R, so why should I expect anything less from this year? Maybe we should go back to the old buddy system, you get the job if you know someone? Did anyone get there #1 pick, I am really curious to find out? Anyway, I'm looking at SC, NC, LA, I should lose family # 2 over this one. I am not bitter just think with all the changing going on in the coast guard they could come up with a better process than what they have now. ( instead of, here rank these from 1-49 )!

Well fellow first's at least you were not totally forgotten about. I have no orders and no e-mailed list. This is the third time I am getting the royal shaft for the service. I put in for a geographical region for a reason. My family and I saw the list and there is no where we would want to go too. 4 years ago I asked for underway and I got a choice of 7 land billets, the time before I had no choice but a station. I am tired of putting in a list and getting nothing. At least you guys have some where to start with the family, I don't. This is CRAP!!!!

Um, you guys? I know a BMC P-3 that didn't get orders or the leftover list, guess why..
his e-resume didn't get submitted correctly, the detailer's never got it. So,check DA and make sure your ER was submitted, and then you might want to shoot the detailer an e-mail and let him know you want to participate in this transfer season. Or you can wait until they WTF you and send you the leftovers from the leftover list.

Look the detailer has posted on his Hot word website that times have changed, read the post and you will see why you didn't get anything you asked for. I have been a P3 for the last 2 transfers and I still put 30-50 picks on my resumes both times spanning all around the U.S. like an expanding square search. If you are gonna leave the comforts of home you might as well number it from first to last so there is no dead end for them at EPM-2. Relax, concentrate on advancement, and set yourselves up for success next time.

Still lots of PB's on that list. I didn't see any ATON execept the WLR Support, I guess most BM's know the good side of the CG.

I called the guy leaving that job and asked him about it. The only ATON involved in that job is loading ATON gear and getting U/W with them every once in a while. It is my # 5 listed job because the XPO said they were trying to merge the support and cutter Sangamon.
#1- MSST NY
#2- MSST NY
#3- CGC TYBEE
#4- CGC FARALLON
#5- CGC SANGAMON SUPPORT
I forget the rest of that "$?1-" list. There was nothing ATON, and thats what I and I'm sure allot of other BM's want. ATON is real work. No cutting holes in the water, well most of the time. I hope I'll be cutting holes in the water for the next couple years though. Its better than divorce.

Lifer that Tybee job should be a good one, I had the Sanibel (her sister ship)as my number 1 pick and didn't put down the Tybee because PS said it was closed! I ended up with my number 4 pick overall so I'm not upset. Woods Hole is great, alot of history and a great Op-area! You would be very happy there. Besides Cape Cod in the summer is pretty darn nice. Good luck.

Where does this perception come from? I know of many including myself that have received orders to a PB without passing a DWO exam. I know that for a Command job you have two chances to pass it after receiving orders but have never heard of needing it before.
