Anyone out there know a good S.O.S for a chart table? My commcen is begging for refurbishment and a well made wooden chart table would set it off.

I recently built a heavy duty oak chart table for the bridge on CGC JOSHUA APPLEBY here in St. Pete Florida. If you provide me with a good off line email addess I'll send you some pics. They were very happy with it. Their old original metal one fell apart. Where is your COMCEN? Standing by.

I had the chart table on NORTHLAND made last january. Best damn thing I've ever seen on a cutter. The website is www.vanmetertable.com Obviously go to the Northland's chart table to see it. It is mohogany, and walnut, with a little purple heart. Expensive but worth it.

Now that I know that, I will have to take a climb up to the bridge next time the APPLEBY is in town, you know just to be sure what 1F says is true! Wink

The owner also owns a 112 Westport.... he charters it for 58k per week.. it is up in Boston now...... The Captain on that one went through BM "A" school when I was at RTC....

Wray I know you never thought you'd see me on this site - EH? Who knows the next thing is I might even call you L/L. Hold your breath! As for the boat - very nice, but from what you told me shouldn't Gary be Coxswain on that rig?

And JP3 why you so cryptic with your name?

On the RUSH, we ordered two chart tables from Wilson & Hayes. They fit perfectly, but very expensive for such a simple table, and they took over 6 months to make. The Northland chart table would look great on the bridge, but i am sure they would not spend the kind of money for a wood chart table when they can't keep these 378's even running.

Just to bring this back to life, same guy that did the Northland's chart table has made some ridiculously nice tables for the bridge and offices on an 87. I am sure he will be adding them to the website soon.
