looking for some thoughts. should i extend a year being 6 away from the may 07 swe and waiting to hit my six year mark for srb purposes. or reenlist now. also what your take on the lump sum optopn or payments. if i take the luump sum and throw it into a retirement plan other than tsp will i still take it in the *** come tax season

It all depends on where you are in life and what your priorities are. If your having fun, reenlist, but dont do it just because someone is offering a bonus. I took two bonuses, and both turned out not to be as much as I thought. Either way, you will pay taxes on it now, or later. How much you pay in taxes makes a difference later.
