I contacted the Navy and they stated that this pub was out of print. Does anyone have an old copy they'd be willing to spare OR know of a source of supply they may be stocked away in? Thanks.

Recognition Identification Guide for Ship Associated Flags, Ensigns, and Aircraft Rondel Markings is out of print, and has been for many years. I do have a copy, but I cannot part with it. I can attempt to scan it and send it page by page. Look me up in global.

I have a copy that was given to me on my last DoD gig, but then the shop closed down. I was going to put it on Ebay and a friend offered me $500 on the spot for it. Before I could say anything he made it $1000. Apparently this is a seriously rare publication.

Check your local library. If they don't have it on hand, they can order it from one of their peers.

It is - not just rare, but highly sought-after. Everyone wants two - one for the ship, one for himself. I spent two and a half years trying to horsetrade my way into one with no dice.
