Where would the majority of you guys as BMs rather work? Cutters, small boat stations...

I guess it depends on the cutter or station, but I'd pick a cutter over a station. Now which type of cutter is the second question!!

Underway is the only way, small and white or black. And what self-respecting Boatswains Mate would want to go to a Sector?

both are cool..underway was awesome and this station stuff....(getting to be directly involved with SAR)...not much more noble, or humbling than that...not to say the big boat guys don't do it just not as often. if I had to pick one i'd say these here surf stations are a blast but I respect everyone in this bussness of servitude.....(yep even the cooks)

ashatsea, well boats I can't say that I disagree with your logic, afterall underway is the only way. But make sure that don't pigeon hole yourself in your young career. You need to do a Station sooner or later if you want to get to the top of the BM world.
