I am currently number 65 on the BMA school list and the suspense is killing me! What number on the list were you when you got your orders to school? How can you try to make an educated guess on when abouts you will get your orders when the class sizes vary from reserve to active? It is frusterating but I know patience is a virtue.

There is no way to know when you will get orders, you only need to pay attention to the list that comes out on the 15th (really the 19th) but what you can do in the mean time is great!!!

#1 STUDY FOR NAV RULZ, get the book and memorize it. you must pass with a 90 if you don't pass you only need to wait 21 days before taking it again, so get with your ESO.
#2 if your underway start breaking in QMOW if not, even better, more time to study the NAV RULZ.
#3 you can complete the BM3 material and EOCT before going to school then put on E-4 half way through the "a" school. I had a guy do that in my class and we were all mad because we didn't take advantage of our time.

All of that to say this shipmate; do not allow your self to be idle and burn up irreplaceable time by waiting for your "A" school, Study now and be a GREAT BM then!

What you should look at is the typical class size, then check the class schedule posted on the TQC website. This is a pretty good indicator of when you will most likely be given orders to school. Expect 45-60 days (at least) prior to CLCVN to receive your orders.

Good use of time: Pass the EPME test!!! Period. If you do this prior to reporting to school, you will not be required to attend that particular class, which is at night over a week or so time frame. This will give you more time to study up on all things BM, improve your class rank and ensure you get your #1 Pick from the list when it comes out.
