I saw on another forum that the SAS allow their men to take a sabatical for a year or two to serve in a PMC, make some money, and return to the regiment. Is this true? Can other regiments in the British army do this or is it a privelage reserved only for the SAS?

No serving member of the British Forces would be permitted to engage in employment as a Mercenary for a Private Military Company.

However, what employment they obtain after discharge or resignation from the British Forces is entirely up to them.
