I was with the Hq/MAC Command Center from which Just Cause was planned and executed (Air Force). Was involved with the launching, employment, recovery, and redeployment. It was the 1st time real world command and control was utilized. We had a team in the first drop, one carrying a weapon, the other a primitive laptop with satelite uplink, cutting edge at the time.
I was not there but I hope noone minds me coming in with a question. Is my memory correct? Wasn't it during OJC when the Air Force first put the F-117 Stealth Fighters into use?

Don
I think it is great to ask the guys that were there questions.
At the time of OJC...I was going through the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Brunswick, GA for U.S. Customs.
One of the guys in my class, a fellow Marine Enforcement Officer who was in the FL Keys with me was watching all the news coverage. It was really interesting to watch with him because he lived in Panama during his high school years.
When the news interviewed people, there were a few that he knew. Then he'd see places he was familiar with. It really hit home for him. I think his parents were down there during OJC.
Thank you all for your service!

I was with 1109 Signal Battalion stationed at Corozal RP when OJC kicked off. I can remember how quiet it was (early evening) and then "ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE(Early AM). It was the "FIRST TIME" many post vietnam veteran's were "GOING TO WAR", and you should have seen the faces and the comments like "I JOINED THE ARMY FOR THE COLLEGE MONEY"! My reply was "Your going to war, now"!

I remember you Signal guys at Corozal. I was with MEDDAC there. I was pullin CQ that night at Gorgas Hospital. My CO came to spend the night in the hospital because she knew something was going down. Her husband was a Blackhawk pilot with the 1/221. When I heard those Blackhawks coming in, I thought it was just another MEDEVAC. Then I heard the artillery hit and I knew the s*#t was hitting the fan!
