THE TRUTH HAS A STING TO IT SOMETIMES !

The truth is this. You are on a civil war thread. You should take you radicl ranting to a different thread. I was not berating Forrest or the south. I was attempting to explaine tha t the north was the aggresser. Forrest has been malined for his part in the K.K.K.. He disbanned the Orginisation and resigned . The U.S congress absolved him of any wrong doing. My father two brother's ,my self and two of my sons have served our country in the Military with honor. I do not take kindly to being accused of destroying the moral fiber of the youth in this country.

Forrest resigned from and renounced the KKK after it had deviated from its original purpose of protecting widows and orphans from occupying soldiers and carpetbaggers. Seeing as how my own great grandfather was an orphan of the war, I can't help but feel some respect and gratitude to such an organization as it was originally established.
Now today it's a whole different creature, obviously, but one of no consequence when you consider the inherently racist nature of non-white gangs, their sheer number, and the violence they cause.

Gentlemen, I found a very good book on this subject. "The Cavalrymen of the lost cause", It's about the REB Cavalry officers. A very good book. really shed's some light on this thread.
