Who was the last documented Civil War General and when did he die?

Brevet Brigidier General Aaron S Daggett of Maine died in 1938 at age 100.
There were several others who were promoted to General after the war, who died in the 1940s.

gumbydammit - Kudos to you! Very sharp indeed! BG Daggett was indeed the last living Civil War General (who served in the war as a General).
