Soon America will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the 16th president of the United States. Lincoln was born Feb. 12, 1809 but Kentucky will start the celebration this year. It should be great!

Thanks for the post, scooter. Hopefully, I'll be able to get down to Ky. for some of it. I've been to his birthplace several times, as well as to the site of the original Ft. Boonesborough.

Before portraying JEB Stuart, I campaigned with my distant cousin who portrays President Lincoln and is a life member of The Association of Lincoln Presenters. My wife and I are going to do some events with him this year. When with him, I portray Colonel Lafayette Curry Baker, head of the National Detective Police, the original name of the Secret Service.
