Well, I was browsing over on specialtactics and unfortunately the forum is down temporarily so I was unable to do some further searching.

But out of curiousity. After the Orientation course at lackland (2 weeks) What is the process, or where do you go from there in the pipeline?

At first I was under the impression that you went to Hurlburt for like 11 months, but am now reading that you do the following

ATC school, 15 weeks at Keesler
Basic airborne 3 weeks at Fort Benning
Basic Survival 3 weeks at Fairchild
Combat Control School 13 weeks at Pope AFB

So do you complete these courses (~34 weeks), and then go to Hurlburt? Is Hurlburt where the advanced skills training begins??? And if so, will these all be considered "tech school" where the family is still back at home waiting?

I supposed I am a little confused on the whole process and what happens when.
