Is there anyone going to be in the same courses around the same time and also when about did everyone start to get orders for there tdys, I been told 30 days, 7 days, 3 days b4. Any input will be very very helpful and it would be pretty cool to have some friends going in there also. I know i will get one of the classes knocked off depending on which airframe I get. Well hope to hear from you guys. And if already in the training program how is it going for you?

I start my aerial gunner training this Friday. I will more than likely see you down at Lackland. I graduate BAG on 05 May. It also appears we will be in the same water survival school class in Pensacola. My start date for that is also 03 June. I received my orders roughly three weeks before my first class. What airframe are you going for?

Thats real cool, you are gonna have to tell me how eauc is and bag. Thats cool well be in the same class for WS. I wanna go for hh-60s. I put Moody down on my dreamsheet. Since they said they are using BOP inconjunction with my cross training. On your orders did they have all the class dates on there?

But yeah that will be very very helpful, gunships would be pretty cool also i want helos but if i happen to get gunships i will not complain. Are you nevervous? I am just a lil nervous about the USA that i might have to do in Underwater egress, only cuz im not the best swimmer but i been practicing for the past couple of months but i can not get this treading water thing down for nothing.

I just went through all my classes. I'm going to Hurlburt to be on H models. Don't worry about underwater egress its more fun than work. Good luck with all your classes. Every one of them is some of the best training I've had since my 7 years in. Any other Q's feel free to ask I'd be glad to help.

Have fun at Cannon. I just heard it is a done deal that the H-models are going in 2009.

Thans Adam for the heads up man because I was really concerned about the water course (not the best swimmer and that treading water is kicking my butt lol) But yeah can't wait to go. 1 month to go before i head out. How many Prior service guys did you have in your class?

I hope to get 60's, they said they are using my BOP inconjunction with my crosstraining so I put down moody but cannon is one place I dont want to go. Im at Holloman now rt down the street that would be something else just to get stationed at cannon.

Even if you do end up clovis, it will be such a great job, you honestly won't care. Going into it with the positive attitude every cross trainee seems to have is the best tool in your crib. If worst comes to worst, you will still be a gunner smacking bad guys on something.

Hey Anthonyshoels,

Everything is going great for the class. Just took the Block 1 test on Friday. I did very well on it. A few non-priors failed. So far everything is pretty easy. You just need to study and pay attention in class. If you do this it will be very easy for you. Monday I am going to the altitude chamber. Sounds like it will be fun.

You'll get your airframe and class dates about a week prior to graduation of BAG. The only reason you'll get it sooner than the non priors is because you'll have air force portal to check they don't.

Good luck man. i wanted Moody but there were no class dates available for 60's so I got H models. no matter what airframe you get they say it's possibile to change from one to the other after a few years anyway. Don't really know how true that is though. they say they do use BOP but it's really what you want based in conjunction with what the Air Force needs. They do however, look at what you want more than say if you were still in armament(by the way I was ammo lol) because there's a lot less gunners than there are armament troops. it's easier to deal with the person's wants than just a number and sometimes wind up pissing off a gunner, which no one wants to do. You'll make a dream sheet the first week in BAG and you'll only get to choose what bases need folks at that time. The instructors will help you with that. No matter what you get man your still gonna be a gunner!!

Yeah that is true even if i get 130s ill still be happy im flying and dont have to deal with the B..... crap that the flightline dishes out everyday. I was a little worried about the water training stuff but from what everyone telling me a million time to not worry youll be ok so i think thatw as the last stressful thing on my mind gone . So how do you like it man? I bet its a blast. Like do u go up fly come down debreif and go home i mean whats a day like for you. Man i cant wait the clock is ticking to slow lol lol. oh yeah buy u being ammo how was the bag and airframe training for you.?

Dude I'm still waiting to PCS to Hurby I just got done with Survival and water parachute.I get there the end of this month to start more training. BAG was not difficult but not a walk in the park either just study for about an hour a night and you'll do fine. With you being from the flightline and all you'll probably do better than I did, but either way your prior service and, for the most part, all prior service make it through because they realize that it's either pass or go back to your previous crappy job.
