Typically requires becoming a Combat Rescue Officer under current Guardian Angel concepts. If I'm mistaken, somebody will correct me. The day to day SERE instructor duties is prety much done by the enlisted SERE members.

Correct. The CRO billets at Fairchild typically involve doing ADO duties and will grow to DO and CC once the career field gains more rank. However, our very first CRO we ever had certified in RT and augmented from time to time, but I don't know if they're doing that anymore.
