Hey everyone,

Ive been scanning the discussion boards and haven't come across my answer so i figured id ask in a new topic. I was wondering if i would be disqualified from going into any Special Ops jobs because i have a bankruptcy. Ive been talking to my recruiter and he said he doesn't know and has to find out but that was a week ago and when i call his office hes on vacation for the next 2 weeks. I owned a small detailing company and when the economy took a nose dive a lot of my clients (Car Dealerships) up and disappeared overnight. I tried hanging on but the bills were piling up to fast and had to bite the bullet on that one. Any input would be helpful. I appreciate anything you guys could provide me. Thanks

The Air Force has no Special Operations jobs. It has unit’s organized, equipped, and trained to perform mission tasking and operations that may be considered special operation. You may be disqualified for enlisting in the Air Force or specific Air Force jobs bankruptcy for many reasons that have nothing to do with special operations.

Agreed. Bankruptcy won't eliminate you from a job. It might prevent you from getting a security clearance required for a job, but there isn't a criteria like that for getting a job(except maybe finance...just kidding). Believe it or not, there are jobs with worse clearance requirements than what you think as a "special operations" type job. Those guys just have to run and duck a lot more.
