Good luck SCOTT. I will be there soon too, hoping for the last team of the year2008, or something early 2009.
Maybe one day, we'll meet up sometime.

Good luck Scott, just remember to not become friends with your teammates...Be a team player and act like an NCO and you'll be fine

are you able to do any training at Keesler? If it was anything like mine you'll be leaving soon. At least work on the rucks if you can, that was the hardest part for me, but I'm only 5'5".

I talked to a buddy of mine over at the retrain portion of my MPF and he said that they are working on a big NCO Retrain surge and they would get to us on Careers a little later in the month. It should be soon though. How many were in there with you and how many made it? Was it hard for you or did you cruise through it?

I got passed up this month i guess! Mano I am getting tired of waiting. I am training and will probably do it if i get selected, but i got a job offer on the table and i get out in 11 months. They are offering me a possible position with an electronics maintenance team on an offshore oil rig. The recruiting process is kind of long so i may start it and see if i can get a position out there. Talking about a 6 figure job.. I dont know what to do at this point. I want to be SERE but i dont want to remain in the Military so i am between a rock and a hard place right now!!

SERE would be awesome bro but money talks. The rig job is pretty demanding from what I hear though. I thought about doing the same thing as a contractor in the desert.

Yeah I have heard good and bad things about summer classes. Not really looking forward to mobile, but fam. should be fun. Since indoc I have gotten used to two hours of sleep a day so I should be good. After fam and mobile it gets better though from what I've heard.

It does....I think it got better on mobile for us...Teaching Techs was alot like fam, but with more sleep. It was fun...I have had a blast the whole time, and you should too. There are about 8-12 guys already up here for 09-01. Look me up when you get here...Can't talk to you to much but I will tell you who to look out for. There is one guy on 09-01 who I went through indoc with that is a retrainee as well. Check your PMs for my email address.
