Hello. I am interested in the Pararescue program but I only scored a 40 on the "G" line, when I needed a 43. My question is, am I going to be able get a waiver for missing the 3 points? I have heard mixed things.. Thank you.

Nobody here is directly involved in the waiver decision process. The accurate answer is very dependant on the need of the Air Force to obtain new PJs and the number of qualified (not needing waivers) recruits trying to get PJ training slots and jobs. I can tell you when Pararescue was only 50% manned minimum standards were not compromised by liberal waiver approval.

added: qualified (not needing waivers)

Dont rely on getting the waiver. Just take the ASVAB again.
I was in pursuit of a waiver, up till about a month ago. I needed a 55, or 65 General score to go SERE. No waiver out there for that, not anymore at least, though there used to be the "5 point waiver" for the Critical career fields. I only needed 3 points.
So I took the ASVAB again, this time scoring 30 points higher, in the 80's. Its hit or miss. Every test is different.

My buddy in Japan needed 15 points to go CCT at his retraining window. He took his ASVAB again, without studying, and passed.
