From the lightening bolt I will guess that it is an Army Special Forces unit badge. Never seen it around Hurlburt.

I've never seen it. The lightning bolt is typically associated with CCT and the rescue angel with globe is PJ or Air Rescue. I’ve emailed the people who will know for certain although since it is Saturday I might not hear back until Monday or Tuesday.

I just found one on ebay. It claims to be a USAF special ops training unit badge. The only thing I can think it could possibly be is an AST badge, but I don't know if they have a unique badge for their unit. I am flying with them on Monday so I will ask one of them then.

I do notice an AM in the background with a pararescue angel and CCT lightning bolts in the fore. It looks like a combo of all badges. I have no idea what the AM is though.

The link really doesn't help much as none of the berets show the badge mentioned.

No we don't have anything like that. SOFME's don't wear anything different to any other member.

The badge is a cadet badge from the Texas A&M corps of cadets (hence the AM) It is a special cadet unit that does extra PT above and beyond the normal cadet routine. It has nothing to do with AFSOC or any special forces community. I had several buddies in the A&M corps of cadets who were a part of the unit.

ROFL--bunch of clueless kids and ROTC cadre that think its all about PT. Unfortunate, they decided to use heraldry and heritage they have not earned and have no qualifications to preform the military duties and missions the heraldry represents.

The only thing I think they missed ripping off was a set of green feet!

Wait until one of them buys a radio control model helicopter. They will add the feet.
