From what i read on GOSERE.com, if you are married they just PCS your family with you. but is this the same for joint spouce?

yes as long as your spouse has a available job position there or they might try to get her/him close as possible. worst case is you just have to wait untill they can PCS in. I've seen that before in other careerfields.
