JOB DESC: Medical NCO, IDMT Provides medical and administrative support to the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command (JPAC). Diagnoses and administers medical treatment and advice to active duty, civilian and host nation personnel. Plans and executes medical evacuations for worldwide investigation and recovery teams. Maintains pharmaceutical and medical equipment and supplies. Directs and trains augmentees on preparing medical supplies and MEDEVAC procedures during missions. Primary medical advisor to Team Leader on recovery site preparation in guidance with safety/public health standards. Overseas Joint Command immunization program in accordance with World Health Organization, Air Force Instructions, and Army Regulations. Instructs Combat Life Saver Course to all services. Ensures IDMT quarterly refresher training is maintained with 15th Medical Group. Maintains certifications in Emergency Medical Technician, Immunizations Back-up Technician and Basic Life Support. Involves 3 - 4 TDYs (30 - 45 days) annually to austere locations. Early reporting authorized.
Qualifications: ***2 MSGTS WILL BE HIRED FOR THIS POSITION*** PPC Code VAW apply. Contact local MPS for PPC Code description. This is 36-months Accompanied/36-months Unaccompanied. tour. Augmentees must be in top physical condition. They must be prepared to operate under austere and rigorous field conditions and capable of carrying a heavy rucksack for extended distances in rugged mountainous and jungle terrain.
