My ex-wife will set up appts for our kids without referrals and not tell me. Then these bills hit my credit report. As far as some tricare people I have talked to, there is nothing that I can do about it. Is anybody out there with this same problem? If so is there a better solution to this?
maybe drop down to Standard.. that way she doesn't need referrals and she can pay the copays herself.. there's no requirement that YOU have to pay them.
DH kept the Stepson on Standard for this reason.. so she woudln't abuse the system knowing she had to pay for all the visits.
either tell her to play by the rules of Prime, or she can foot the bill for Standard. and make it offical and stuff through the lawyers.

I would think if you are the one providing free insurance to the kids you wouldn't be responsible for any bills that were made because of her mess ups. I would check into that with an attorney!
They are billing you because she is putting you as the one responsible for the bill if the insurance doesn't pay, which ofcoarse it isn't if she isn't using the system properly.

We'll definitely look into TriCare Standard, and the legal dept on base gave him some good information this morning on how to get the bills in his ex's name. Thankfully the divorce papers actually covered this! Wish us luck
