I have a question to anyone who can address this. My husband in in the Army National Guard part time. Once he goes to basic our whole family is covered with Tricare benefits since he is considered active duty. Then once he graduates the benefits change and we will have a monthy premium.Correct?? Thanks for the help!

once he returns from basic and AIT and returns to M-day Status you will be eligible for Tri-Care reserve select-its not automatic-you have to sign up for it and pay premiums although they are quiet reasonable.-go to the tri care web site (google is your friend) and read up on it-then compare it with any employer provided health plan you may have-it may or may not be a better option. As for the coverage-it will be different-but how different will depnd on the type of tri-care you are using while he is in training-if you are using tri care standard and a civilian provider you wont see any change-if you are using tri-care prime there will be some differences. Just do your research so you dont get any surprises.
