I understand much better the c&p. He really lacks the ability to discipline himself to present any rational thought. Maybe there is some understanding behind the comments, but I honestly am not so sure. It is like the nonsense from the Hollywood types who cannot hold a candle to the intellectual capability of Bush, yet they deprecate him and stupidly rationalize that he is not intelligent, or that he was handed his position in life. In so doing they just starkly highlight their own ignorance and lack of meaningful rationality. Man, they carry a big chip on their shoulders; and it won't go away, since their attitudes are that of losers ("I can't do well on my own," or "I feel I've never really earned what I have," so they foolishly attempt to bring far better people down to what they view as their own mediocre level, so they can begin to feel better about themselves.) Their comments are so ludicrous and unsubstantiated that they merit no response.

Clinton did not create not did GB2 lose those jobs. It was the BUSINESS CYCLE that was responsible. Government can only influence that cycle by TAXING, recucing TAXES, increasing or decreasing INTEREST, and enforcing the laws designed to keep big business honest. When you increase taxes, you slow the economy. When you increase interest, you slow the economy. Clinton did both. When you fail to regulate a VERY speculative economy, as Clinton did, you create a bubble. When the bubble bursts, there is NOT enough income to support the tax levels established and powered by the bubble. The economy cools, jobs are lost (many because they were not "real" anyway a product of the bubble) , and Federal government goes into defecit. Just like always.

We come out FASTER with tax cuts and reduced interest, MUCH slower with steady or increased taxes. Bush = lower taxes & interest. the 9 Little Indians all want higher taxes. You choose.

The interest rate is down to the FOMC cut= Alan Greenspan who kept RAISING that rate during the Clinton Admim, hence the bubble.

Haven't you noticed that your interest on your savings and Money Market account is below 1%?

BTW, if you're thinking why is it that Credit Card interest rates and other misc. loans have not gone down is because that rate is based on the 10 year Note, not the FOMC rate.

I suggest you begin reading The Wall Street Journal instead of reading swann's posts, you'll learn more.

TODAY THE NEWS IS FULL OF PROOF THAT ECONOMY IS OFF AND RUNNING...UNEMPLYMT DOWN 3RD STRAIGHT REPORT AND AT 6% FOR FIRST TIME SINCE 2001...EVEN GREENSPAN IS OPTIMISTIC...BEAUTIFUL!!

Shall we keep pushing this up and adding to it as each new good report comes in over say Ohoooo the next year or so.?
