The news is today's wonderful weather. It's clear with 63 sunny degrees. From my morning run in Long Beach I can look over into New Jersey. I wonder where Vet is.

We're back into the heat of summer with 90 degree weather through the next four days and possibly t-storms on Tuesday.

Still hot, no rain, yet the birdz are singing!

I wish we could get some of the remnant weather from the Gulf. It's bone dry and we don't expect any cyclonic action until Tuesday, maybe. We're in the third week of September and people have already harvested corn out of their fields. Moisture content probably doesn't test 10%.

It was just perfect here on Friday, but partly sunny on Saturday with humidity at 92%. Today will be in the low 80's with much lower humidity. It hasn't rained here with any significant accumulations in about a month. It's bone dry out there.

cloudy as i look out my window at the mountians i see the first snow a little early this year. hope its not a herd winter or i will have to sell out and move hey john were do you live in n.j. ha ha. just joking.

We don't get away often, but we're taking a drive all the way upstate by the Canadian border this weekend. The weather looks to be about perfect for our trip.

I have the Atlantic Ocean to look at and it was 85* here today, and the forecast is 89* for tomorrow. NJ is closer to the Equator, I guess.

Home prices in my area are above the national average..... so are the property taxes.

Had it been much cooler over the last couple of weeks, you could have saved yourself a lot of time and money, by driving down the GSP to see the leaves change.

What a great idea, with the weather up there. You couldn't ask for more beautiful scenery to drive through, but watch out for those migration patterns crossing the road. It's that time of year and a big buck or moose can do wonders to your car.

Storms are here for the day, hope we get some much needed rain.

I was up on scaffording, putting up cement lap siding and heard thunder. My wife said do you think it's going to rain? I said maybe, but let's just finish a couple more rows.

Well, not! It started coming down hard. I dashed to secure tools, especially the electric circular blade saw. We buttoned 'er up and called it a day. It probably quit raining there, as it isn't raining here in town, 25 miles away. But it's already 3:30.....so save it for another day.

Tomorrow, I need to travel to the VA to see that Urologist about my unfavorable PSA test. We'll see what that's about. My wife is heading out Saturday to go to a resort with her lady friends. They do that three times a year or more and play cards and scrabble for a weekend. So, I will be siding by myself for as much as I can do without a helper. Slowly but surely!

Great storm we had yesterday morning. Lit up the sky like a Christmas tree. Had a nice, soaking rain...very much needed...though, we're still down 8" for the year. Central state has been hit hard with drought. Their burley crop is crap...that should save someone's lungs.
Nice weekend ahead. Low temps and low humidity.

WE NEED RAIN!

It stormed here last night. The thunder frightened my dog and she came upstairs and jumped on the bed and snuggled her head against my back.......seeking protection.

My wife is on a Girls outing this weekend. So for the rest of the weekend.......it's just me and my shadow.......a black Lab/Pit Bull mix named Murphy.

My wife took her to the vet on friday....now she's on a diet to lose 20 pounds to avoid her hips giving out. I'm to blame, of course, because I always give her some of what I'm eating. She loves popcorn. So....now the plan is to put her outside whenever I'm eating, so she won't have to beg. I'm still talking about the dog!

IN BUCKEYE CENTRAL...P E R F E C T

We just returned from a drive upstate. The trees are just beginning to change color and the scenery was the best I've ever seen in my life. The views were similar to post card pictures.

We stopped off at a diner in some 3 horse town. The owner was saying the younger generation don't drive up from the city anymore to hunt like they did years ago. His town is actually losing population every year. There's no incentive for young people to stay and they're bailing out. Property can be bought cheap. Sad.

BTW-the weather was perfect.
