I have been watching "Victory At Sea" this week. That is a good DVD set I recommend you all reviewing. It is not just Navy, it is America winning a war and Americans dying for our freedom. The half hour programs brought much to those in my generation.
In response to greywolfghost: The story of Iwo Jima on the "Victory At Sea" program is only about 30 minutes and does not have movie actors, but it shows real Marines and real Sailors taking Suribachi with over 25,000 American casualties. I salute your dad and all those who bled for us.

I will cast no stones!

Freedom:

You can protect your liberties in this world only by protecting the other man's freedom. You can be free only if I am free.

Thank you all for your service.

On the day when we reach the other side God will say "Well done good and faithful servant come home to your rest"

"If the Army and the Navy ever look on heavens scene's they will find it's streets are guarded by United States Marines."

Thank you U2 and dkcpl...The horror of RA devastated us...We have seen horrors...but not before the horror and magnitude of RA...

I pray We made the right decisions...

May God rest her soul...after excruciating suffering...
