Hi, I have been working with a lender and I had not obtained an approval or pre-approval letter after 4 months though my husband and I were told how much we qualified for. The lender has gone to become a broker and we are still with him. But he has now stated my score dropped a couple of points and it is a problem as well as the Good Faith Estimate did not state how much we were to come out of pocket for closing. Are we supposed to come out of pocket for closing and is this amount supposed to be calculated on the Estimate? Should I find a new lender cause I feel like he is not on the ball?

He is not on the ball. Contact a VA lender and speak with a loan officer that knows VA guidelines. You should have received a Good Faith Estimate and Truth in Lending Disclosure within 3 days of him pulling your credit report. Not receiving those up front is a big red flag no matter what kind of loan your are applying for.
