Hi,
My father and I are thinking of buying a home together. He is still working @ 74 years young! and we are both veterans. My question is this: I became disabled in 2000 and just recently started working again. During that time I lost my house (VA loan) on Oct 2001 and because I was not able to work my credit went down the tubes. Since his credit is OK and he had former VA guaranteed loans that were payed in full could we both qualify together? Thanks, Frank |

If your credit is still in the hole then you might not be able to qualify. Have you spoke to a lender yet?

Thanks for the response! I would expect that my credit is still pretty rough since most no the damage was done in 2004. Total of bad debt is less than 7500.00 and no we have not spoken to any lenders as of yet. So I guess it would have to be my father only then. I think he makes enough money to qualify on his own but I was hoping I could help him with my income.
Thanks again, Frank |

$7500 can get paid off. Save and do lump sum settlements with the creditors. Shoot for 50% of the balances owed.
