Anyone out there know where to buy or have an NSN for a M203 dust cover / end cap? In other words, something made of hardened plastic that will cover the open end of the launcher IOT keep dust and sand out of the system. I'm a gunner in Iraq (2nd tour) and have heard of them, but have yet to see something similar to the mag well cover I was able to purchase at Bde QM. I have looked all over on-line with no luck. Granted, it's not hard to clean the tube, but this would be one less thing to clean on a daily basis when not on patrol i.e. on the COP or FOB. I can't be the first guy to have though about this, so I thought this would be a good place to start. Thanks

Not to be a smart ***, but as we did back in the "old" days, use a non lub condom. You can get them from the medics/aid station. They are thin enough to shoot through and will keep crap out of the barrel. They will tear easily so you can use two, one over the other. If needed wrap a strip of tape around the barrel to hold them on.

Also try MRE bags and Items as such.

This trick also will work on MK19s, Ma Duece ect., ect.

Be aware that you will have to explain to the medic NCOIC what you are going to do with a gross of condoms. All they think of is that you are going TDY somewhere.
