I was recently in South Africa. They have a G-6 SP howitzer that is fantastic. I would like to see a discussion of its capabilities as opposed to the US Paladin.
The G-6 out-ranges the Paladin by twice (65Km) and has a new version G-6 that is mounted on the Striker frame; is mountable as either wheeled or tracked. The new version has an auto-load system that requires fewer crewmen and has a rate of 6 rds per minute. I have ridden in the older version and am very impressed. Denel Industries of SA and General Dynamics are the contractors.
