Ex-army or someone like that must have posted the pictures, not knowing that the m240g is the best mmg out there. I'd easily compare it to the HK 21e. The 21e and the 240g both have great rpm's but the G3 rifle stock makes the 21e somewhat more comfortable to fire. To counter the 21e, the 240g does have the ease of use on its side. As far as accuracy is concerned, either are effective for cover fire as well as picking off targets 500-700 yards away open sights. My preference, of course, is always going to be most related to that of a Marine having been raised in a family of Marines. So, to know for yourself, join the Marines, of make some rich friends!
Remember: a well placed frag solves most problems. For those hard-to-get areas, an MK 23 should do the job.
Yeah, join the Marines and get a 240G. Join the Army and get a re-designed M240B. Lighter and more reliable than the golf. We'll even issue you an MGO to go with the tripod and AG gear. Then, instead of having to listen to some armchair wanna-be "considering joining", you'll get to take instruction in machinegunnery from a Weapons Squad Leader who knows what he's talking about.
Your picture frack up from the OP musta been some any-service REMF that obviously did not know his / her $hit. So much for ya'll pointing your fingers at some imaginary "ex-Army REMF".
