I was in the Navy 8 years, but I am ready to further myself. I have heard good and bad about ITT Tech. Does anyone have advice? I have found that all ITT Tech's are not the same. Also, Is job outlook after this school good?
I love it. I go to ITT Tech in Louisville, Ky. I am a criminal justice major. I have learned so much form going to school there. People say alot of bad things about ITT, but they are the ones who go there and don't do their work and fail out of a class and try to blame the school for their failures. I am looking foward to a career witht he DEA after I finish my degree. You earn your degree, and everything else from that point on is up to you.
I am a Former Marine Officer (Retired) who currently works for a State Agency as a Configuration Manager in their Information Technology Division. Since I work across the board with Programmers, Business Process Specialist, Program Analyst, System Programmers, Database Administrators, Network Technicians and a few other "cats & dog" in IT, I have to second "lamedog" in his response. We also hire routinely from ITT Tech. Let me recommend that you attend an ITT Tech that has an excellent placement network with Private, or Government Agencies in your State. I also recommend that you do a little research to find out exactly what field in IT you want to pursue. And finally, make sure that you complete a program that leads to a Certification level (which usually equates to employers how knowledgeable are you in that area). IT is one of the fastest growing fields and I personally believe that the growth is just starting. Good luck Sailor & Marines.
