WILSON - Edison F. Schultz, 86, of Wilson, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Emmons Adult Care Home in Bark River.
He was born on March 16, 1923, in Watertown, Mich., and was the son of Frank and Mary (Morgan) Schultz. He was a high school graduate and furthered his education at the General Motors Institute. Ed was a decorated World War II veteran, USMC 1st Division 1941-1945, spending over two years in the Pacific Theater, including the Guadalcanal Campaign. Ed was employed with General Motors in Flint for 41 years as a manager and supervisor for Buick Motors retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Flint. In 2005 Ed moved to the Wilson area to be close to family members. The Anderson Funeral Homes of Escanaba and Gladstone are assisting the Schultz family.
