I am so very sorry and saddened to read this. I enjoyed reading dshrader's posts and I remember when he told about losing his leg to diabetes. I so wish things could have been different for him. We just never know the pain another carries in their heart.
Rest in peace, Sgt. Shrader. Once again, you are surrounded by Marines.

The continued condolences are appreciated by famile. The wake begins tomorrow, and I shall print and post these near his casket along with many pictures of him and his kin from the good times we had with him. I know he called you all brothers and sisters. Thank you for your prayers.
Unbelievable the prayers and kindness that is out here. How I look forward to coming down and just checking gives the family peace of mind. A "Band of Brothers?" No, a family of individuals whom have not met, yet have the encouragement and words to help others through their suffering. A community of individuals who feel what the other feels, or has experienced what the other has lost. It is amazing what I have found through you these last few days of pain. I have found some sense that there is peace with friendship and honor. God bless you all.
