JACKSONVILLE - Pascual Garza Valdes, 55, of Jacksonville, died March 14, 2008, at Onslow Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2008, at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville. Burial will follow at the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with military honors.
He served his country for more than 32 years with the U.S. Marine Corps and retired as a CWO-4.
Survivors include daughters, Rachel Valdes and Megan Valdes, both of Jacksonville; son, Pascual Valdes of Jacksonville; mother, Alfa Garza Valdes of Texas; brothers, George Valdes of Texas and Albert Valdes of Colorado; sisters, Mary Valdes, Irene Valdes and Martha V. Gillis, all of Texas; and one grandson.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
He worked at the Base SJA up until his retirement just a few months back.
