What in the hell does Field Artillery do over seas? I was told that in Afghanistan, Field Artillery actually does their job. However, In Iraq I have heard different things.

I heard they are never in the FOB, always doing patrols. I hear they are clearing buildings. I hear they are on Convoy escort?

Do certain MOS in the 13 series do specific things? Like the 13Bs do the patrols, which the 13Ds get put on different duties, and the 13Fs do infantry work?

Our arty dudes fired illum mission and did FOB security most of the time.

1/134 FA is doing SECFOR ARF and QRF here with us in Kuwait. They are also pulling gate guard duties here too.
